Eddy, Sankara and Himanshu presented three posters at the 7th International Colloids Conference organized by Elsevier. One of them, entitled "Inexpensive Superhydrophobic Sand Mulches for Desert Agriculture" was recognized with the Elsevier Best Poster Award (2nd prize) from a pool of 274 posters showcased at the Conference.
This work summarizes the most recent results of our lab in desert agriculture utilizing new materials to reduce water consumption in desert agriculture. This research was carried out by Joel and Adair in iLab and our collaborators Profs. Mark Tester, Matthew McCabe, and Magdi Mousa along with Mitch and Samir​​.
