iLab was present at the Global Biochar Exchange held in Nagoya, Japan from 22-25 in April.

PhD Candidate Bob Vernooij presented his work on enhancing desert green through the application of engineered biochar and superhydrophobic sand mulches in the sandy alkaline soils of Saudi Arabia, with a small sidenote on agricultural projects on moringa, maize and bell pepper.
